a versatile program, but it can be quite confusing to get to grips with, Paint.NET is suitable for beginners to advanced users. One thing you will need for Paint.NET is .NET Framework 2.0, but that’s also free and comes in handy for other programs.
If you want a bit more functionality when viewing images, then Irfanview can provide a few more features. Not only does it allow you to view images, but has some basic editing features along with the ability to capture screens and provide every single bit of info about an image.
