You Think THAT is Beautiful?

Before I start, this is about appearances. Yes, I know, beauty comes from within, blah blah, I get it, this is just an opinion and not just aimed towards the person featured in the image.

Someone may be the nicest person in the universe, but not everyone can see that, the first thing people see when they look at you is your face, but what if you alter your appearance to try and be different and unique? Sorry to burst your bubble, but you’re not.

Project 365: One Week Later

Although this is my main blog, it’s not being used for WordPress.com’s Project 365.

My idea for that was to play at least one videogame each day and blog about it, I may play a few games some days, but will just blog about one. It has reached day 7 and is there for anyone to read if you would care to do so, each post should only take a couple of minutes!

Anyway, if you want to read about my Project 365, go to mentalaceman.wordpress.com.

Thank you!

Stop with the Facebook Status Paranoia Already

Česky: Logo Facebooku English: Facebook logo E...

If there’s one thing that annoys me most about social networks, it’s the people who don’t understand them and especially Facebook where you get countless sheep copying and pasting text because they don’t really understand what it means. Viral statuses are the worst affliction to be set upon you, you know they’re moronic and just there to cause unnecessary panic, but you don’t want to say anything because they’re your friends.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs, BoingBoing Tribute & Bill Gates Quote

The buzz around the internet at the moment is about the sad loss of the ‘Apple’ of many persons eye, Steve Jobs who, as anyone worth their salt should know, was the backbone of Apple.

BoingBoingJobs

I’m truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs’ death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work.

Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives.

The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come.

For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely.

What Sundays Usually Consist Of…

Coffee and a book

I gave up on the Post a Day thing and it wasn’t really worth continuing as a Post a Week since I just couldn’t be bothered. I had subjects and ideas, but didn’t have the time to dedicate, which is why I started posting a bit more on my Tumblr, but I don’t really see Tumblr as a blogging platform in the same sense as WordPress is.

Tumblr is good as a photo blogging service, whereas WordPress is a lot more versatile and my preference for this kind of blogging (text with images), that said, quite a few of the recently added themes on WordPress.com are very Tumblr-esque in design and there’s even a plugin for self-hosted WordPress users to turn the back-end into something more like Tumblr.

Anyway, I’m going back to my chilling Sunday before watching the Packers / Bears game a little later.
