My R4DS finally came…

It’s taken about 15 days, but the R4 is finally here!

To extend the enjoyment from my trusty old original Nintendo DS, I decided to get a cart that will allow me to run homebrew games and applications, it does also run *ahem* ROMs, but I prefer to buy my games as I like to have the proper case and manual.

All I need now is the MicroSD card that I ordered last week and I’ll be able to test it out with the easy to transfer adapter and for content, I’ll be looking on DCEmuUK to see what I can try out with it.

The envelope had been damaged by Royal Mail somehow and it looked like they had tried to open it, so I wasn’t too pleased about that, I’m just pleased that it’s here and when the MicroSD card gets here, I’ll be able to try out all sorts of geeky stuff like see if there’s an internet browser (free, not the official Opera one) to go on the net with and even go on IRC as I know there’s an IRC client for it.

Settled in now

I’ve gone through pretty much every theme available here and this is the one I’m sticking with. When using your own hosting, you can upload whichever WP theme you want and tweak it to your own needs, but having to use only certain themes and not being able to tweak the CSS (unless you buy credits), then finding one that’s suitable for what you want to stick on your blog is a bit of a timely process. There are some decent themes I would use if I could change the CSS, mainly to widen the text area to make it more of a snug fit I’d even do this theme (Cutline) so that there wasn’t such a big gap between this main part and the sidebar, but it’ll have to do.

So, it looks like I’ll be staying at Hotel Del WórdPrés instead of bothering about other hosting. Since I was using WordPress before hosting my blog on here, I’d become accustomed to it and although Blogger was considered, it would have been so much time consuming effort to transfer all my posts to it, that’s why I decided to come to Web Users Gold Award winning host.

Finally uploaded the Project Treasure Island Z trailer

As per my usual routine, I go into the living room after browsing the net and playing some Virtual Villagers, watch TV while having some food and then doze off on the sofa, only to wake up around 60-90 minutes later and go to bed.

Then again as usual, I get back out of bed around 30 minutes later due to not being able to get back to sleep and so come back downstairs to do stuff. For anyone that’s heard of the guitarist, Simon Lees, I’m sure I had my photo taken with him when he did a gig in my old local pub some years ago and for some reason, I was thinking about him and how great he is on the guitar, but I’ll need to do a bit of digging out to find the pic, so I’ll leave that til a later post.

For now though, it seems that YouTube has finally allowed me to upload the Project Treasure Island Z (Working Title) Wii Trailer that I tried earlier on…
